As our core program, the annual Indicators Report provides fact-based information about local trends over time. SSMC has identified approximately 30 indicators that we believe represent the foundation for a sustainable community, ranging from air quality and energy use to education and affordable housing. The indicators we’ve chosen represent our core belief that a truly sustainable community maintains a healthy environment, social equity and a vibrant economy for the long term.
SSMC offers the Indicators Report as well as professional, customized presentations about the report in order to fulfill the important role of informing San Mateo County about the importance of sustainable planning to preserve this special place where we work, play and live.
