Communications Committee
This committee publicizes all of SSMC’s programs, plans content for the newsletter, press releases, and the promotion and advocacy of the Awards Event, the Indicators Report, and recently has been charged with the marketing of the Sustainability Hub. It is in charge of the monthly Roundtable and the outreach coordinator reports directly to this committee. It is also responsible for updating and enhancing the website.

Events Committee
This committee is responsible for the Sustainable Awards Event, which is held annually and is the primary fundraiser for SSMC. It handles the event’s details, including selecting the venue, soliciting sponsors, collecting auction items and selecting the emcee. It also staffs the event. It sets $$ goals with Board approval.

Management Committee
The Management Committee acts as the Executive Committee, makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on a variety of issues including personnel decisions, program ideas, and finances and fundraising.

Indicators Report Committee
This committee reviews the content, layout, and formatting of the annual Sustainable San Mateo County Indicators Report. It also issues recommendations to the Report coordinator on how to improve usability and attractiveness to potential readers. Individual committee members take on ad hoc assignments to research and collect data on issues related to the Report and make recommendations to the committee. It will also review and be in charge of content on the Sustainability Hub web site. The Report Coordinator reports directly to this committee.
